Equipment
Requirements Effective January 1, 2008
As a reminder, the
Nassau REMAC requires that ambulance must have the
following equipment on board
as of January 1, 2008:
BLS - Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
Pulse-oximeter
ALS - Glucometer (Special Note: this item requires
a limited lab license, any agency that has not filed for
this license must do so without delay in order to insure
that you will be able to place the Glucometer in service
by January 1st.)
NEW State
Equipment Requirement Effective January 1, 2009
Effective January 1, 2009, ALL Advanced
Life Support (ALS) agencies will be required to have
waveform Capnography when using any airway other than
oropharyngeal or nasal airway.
